“We never outsource our problem solving. As a team, we roll up our sleeves and dig in. It’s one of the best parts of our culture.”

backstory

My early interest in math and science led me to a career in the built environment. My mother taught math and exposed me to engineering at an early age, well before many STEM resources existed. She opened my eyes to opportunities in engineering and always encouraged me to see past the fact that I would be one of only a handful of women.

After studying Civil Engineering, I worked for Con Edison before joining Tishman in 2006. Tishman was performing at-risk work for the first time, and I found myself working on large and exciting projects like One World Trade Center and the new Goldman Sachs building. I was thrilled to be part an organization changing the skyline.

As part of the development group, I have had the opportunity to learn directly from Dan Tishman, who has been an incredible mentor and helped shape my leadership style. He’s taught me to communicate effectively and encourage my team to crystallize goals. Learning from Dan has been incredibly empowering and central to my ability to help lead the openings of aLoft Chicago Mag Mile in 2018 and WDW Swan Reserve during the pandemic.

Looking ahead I am excited for what’s to come. Tishman has so many talented people and a culture that’s uniquely entrepreneurial. We are not afraid to create new businesses, adapt to changing markets, and bring in fresh perspectives to help each other succeed.
